Well this week's newsletter is a tad different...
As I’m sure your all aware by know unfortunately I’ve had a staff member test positive for covid-19, but most importantly, I’m pleased to say they are making a full and speedy recovery and are feeling fit and well.
I myself have been tested and I’m pleased to say I’m negative, however, as I worked with the staff member affected unfortunately I have to continue to self isolate until 1st November.
As a result the shop has been closed but is reopening on the Tuesday with the following opening hours:
Tuesday 27th October 9am to 3pm Wednesday 28th October 9am to 3pm Thursday 29th October 8am to 2pm Friday 30th October 9am to 3pm Saturday 31st October 9am to 3pm Sunday 1st November 8am to 4pm (back to normal) Writing this newsletter from the confines of my box bedroom has given me a lot of time to think and plan for the future.
It’s a devastating virus and with a partner who’s been a front line worker at Royal Devon and Exeter, a vulnerable mum and a mother in law along with 5 children one of which is type 1 diabetic, the 48 hours to get the results were agonising and clearly very worrying.
That said I am thankfully negative and all my family are healthy too. I would just like to remind all members how seriously we take your safety and well being. I have had the shop, toilets, storeroom and academy room chemically fogged so it’s perfectly safe to come in and for you to take lessons.
I would also like to thank the Chairman, Captains and Management Committee for all their help and support and finally all you the members, as I have been overwhelmed by all the messages I received.
I am very blessed to work and be associated with such a fantastic club, I can hear my dear old dad whispering in my ear with one of his quotes “what doesn’t break you makes you.”
It’s going to be tough but we will all get through this and come out stronger, see you all soon and stay safe. Best Wishes
