Greenkeeper's report

Work being done week commencing Monday 9th December:

• Sorrel roll the greens (aeration)
  
• Carry on spiking the fairways and thin areas
  
• Blow/brush/clear up leaves on the course and carparks
  
• Brush the semi rough
  
• Spray seaweed on the seeded areas (helps encourage more growth)
  
• Finish off 5th shelter toilet area
  
• Carry on with tree management on the 17th tree area
  
• Plant new trees on the course (if they get delivered)
  
• Service work on some of the clubs machines
  

Work done:

• Slit greens (aeration)
  
• Driving range was cut
  
• Irrigation work done (replaced broken irrigation valves)
  
• All work is now done on the 18th path area until the spring when we will plant hydrangeas shrubs and sow a wild flower mix
  
• All fairways and thin areas have been spiked
  
• Planted trees on the 9th hole have had there lower branches cut off to balance up the tree
  
• On going work has been done on the 17th tree area (thin out worst trees/cut low hanging branches/tidy area) next winter new trees (Ash/Oak) will be planted
