Greenkeeper's report

Work being done week commencing Monday 2nd December:

• Slit the greens (aeration)
• Sorrel roll the greens (aeration)
  
• Carry on spiking the fairways (aeration)
  
• Help Ocmis irrigation contractor (repair leaking irrigation valve boxes)
  
• Brush tee mats
  
• G.U.R bare areas
  
• Trim low branches on 9th staked trees
  
• Finish work on 18th path. Strip off turf and prepare area ready for sowing a wild flower mix (in the spring plant hydrangea shrubs and sow a wild flower mix)
  
• Carry on with tree management work on the area left of 17th hole
  

Work done:

• Carried on with work on the 18th cockle shell path (dig out soil along the edge of the path, wood chip the area, repair/replace broken rails and top up the paths with cockle shells)
  
• Sprayed the greens with fungicide (there are small patches of disease
  (fusarium) on some of the greens, this is due to mild and wet conditions
• The fungicide will help kill and stop anymore disease)
  
• Laurel hedge in main carpark has been trimmed and cleared up
  
• All verti draining (aeration) work has been done on the fairways
  
• Started spiking (aeration) fairways with the clubs spiker
  
• Work has started on the copse left of 17th hole (thin out worst trees and tidy area)
  
• 100yd discs trimmed aroun
• Trees were not delivered (being delivered week commencing 9th December) they are being hampered by the rain
