Greenkeepers Report

Work being done week commencing Monday 15th July

- Lightly verti cut the worst greens (some greens need the grass sward thinned out to give a better playing surface)
- Top dress the par 3 tees
- Top dress the new 16th green
- Spray Glysophate (plant killer) on the cockle shell paths, shrub/gorse areas and all carparks
- Spray the weeds on the tees
- G.U.R bare areas around the greens
- Hand water new trees, shrubs, wild flower and gorse areas
- Trim around junior tee markers and temporary green holes
- Mark fairways out (keeps the definition and shape of the fairways)
- Strim 14th ditch
- Repair leaking sprinklers
- Check and set tees sprinklers (tee markers will be took off the tees when this work is being done, more work productive. Please be patient)

Work done

- Greens were sprayed with wetting agent (this gets the water working better in the soil and helps against dry patch)
- Tee stones and footpath stones were painted
- All new tress, shrubs, wild flower and gorse areas have been hand watered
- Clubhouse and practice area carparks were strimmed and tidied up
- Cockle shell paths were strimmed and tidied up (broken rails will be
fixed)
- Checking and setting sprinklers is on going
- Semi rough was brushed to help give definition and shape the fairways
