Green Keepers Report Work being done week commencing Monday 22nd October - Put out rope and hoops around greens and tees (protect wet and worn areas in the winter) - Cut Driving range tee weekly - Hand dress thin areas on greens - Trim bunker edges and check sand levels - Spike aprons - Dig out and raise low sprinklers on greens (winter work) - Pipe, stone and fill in 4th and 5th ditches (winter work) - Level out old banks and make other banks mowable (winter work) OCMIS visiting Tuesday 23rd October to drain down the irrigation system for the winter Work done last week - All greens and tees spiked - Greens fertilised The combination of spiking and fertilising will help with the anthracnose disease. Spiking will let air into the ground and help with reducing compaction. Fertiliser has nitrogen feed to make the grass grow stronger to grow the thin areas in and potassium to harden the grass plant up to stop any more disease coming into the greens Peter Connett Head Greenkeeper
