Club Day

The next Club Day will be on Saturday 26th August. It wiill be a shotgun start at 12pm, played in mixed drawn teams as a Texas Scramble format.

Entrance fee £12 (£6 for juniors) including prizes & BBQ.

The evening entertainment will be DJ Jurassic Dave & Bingo from 5.30pm.

Outplayed from start to finish

It was a convincing win for the United States over the weekend as they retained the Solheim Cup with a 16.5-11.5 victory in Iowa. The European team found themselves five points behind heading into Sunday’s singles, partly down to a whitewashing in Friday afternoon’s fourballs, but, in the end, they left themselves with too much to do, being outplayed from start to finish.

Watching golf being played in a team format certainly adds a bit of excitement to the game, and hopefully will have prompted a few of you to get back out on the course over the next week or two. With this in mind, we were wondering which time of the day is your favourite to take to the course. Maybe you prefer to tee off early morning and get round before lunch or you might be the opposite and prefer a quiet evening round when you have the course to yourself?
