Captain's Day

Captain's Day this Saturday

This Year’s Captain’s day will be on Saturday 15th July with tee times between 8am to 1pm. The Day is open to all membership categories playing in 3 balls and will include:

The prize presentation will take place approximately at 5.30pm. So if you would like to enter please sign up on the start sheet in the clubhouse.

Sunday competition bookings

Following the successful introduction of the online tee booking system, the Captain’s Committee has decided to introduce online bookings for competitions with a month’s trial period will take place during August.

The staff in the Pro Shop and Office will be happy to help anyone who would normally put their name up in writing and are not comfortable with online booking.

Summer Knockout Competitions

Just a reminder to all members who have entered the summer knockout competitions that the closing dates to play your matches is coming up fast, so please make sure you get them played before the before the closing date. Anyone with any issues please contact the office.

Driving range baskets

Can anyone who has a driving range basket please return it to the pro shop as soon as possible as, once again, we are very short of baskets.

All roads lead to…

If you didn’t manage to catch any of the weekend’s action then we're afraid to say you missed some remarkable golf as Jon Rahm blitzed the field to claim his first European Tour victory at the Irish Open, continuing his meteoric rise towards golf stardom in the process.

For now, though, everyone’s focus turns to this week’s Scottish Open as the world’s best try to shoehorn in a final bit of British golf before heading to The Open next week. We can't wait!

New PING G400 Fitting irons now in store!

The new PING G400 irons have been designed to help golfers get more distance and stop the ball more quickly on the greens. They do this thanks to advanced face flexing technology that utilizes a toprail undercut cavity, allowing the flex 18 per cent more than the G iron – that’s more flex than any other G series iron ever made.

Not only does this increase ball speed but it also increases the launch angle significantly. Updated COR-Eye Technology provides the distance across the clubface, which is engineered from hyper 17-4 stainless steel that is now 40 per cent thinner. A full cavity badge provides an enriched impact response for improved sound and feel at impact, while a premium hydropearl chrome finish reduces friction through the turf by 40 per cent to improve launch and spin in wet conditions and out of the rough.

Changes in the shop
